As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we actively support many ministries through our financials gifts and the sharing of our time and talent. The ELCA programs and ministries we support include:
-
ELCA Fund for Leaders: A scholarship program which supports students of tremendous promise attending ELCA seminaries. Many of these students will go on to be pastors, deacons, and other leaders in the church.
-
“God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday - An ELCA designated day when its member churches serve their neighbors by completing a variety of service projects.
-
ELCA Good Gifts - provides more than 50 different gift-giving options that help grow the church, fight hunger and transform lives; the gifts provide direct support for the churchwide ministries of the ELCA.
-
Lutheran Disaster Response - brings God’s hope, healing and renewal to people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters in the United States and around the world.
-
Missionary Support (Cairo, Egypt) - we provide support to St. Andrew’s Refugee Services (StARS), a refugee service provider located in Cairo, Egypt. Currently, there is an ELCA missionary serving at St. Andrews program. The ELCA has over 240 missionaries serving in more than 40 countries around the world.
-
World Hunger - from health clinics to microloans, community meals to advocacy, our gifts to ELCA World Hunger support sustainable solutions that get at the root causes of hunger and poverty
